Mylah de la Rosa

Half Moon Bay-based Mylah de la Rosa is a technologist and compulsive altruist. She serves (and surfs) as “Flowy Godmother” for Waves of Grief with her love of creating surprise and delight with “magical” solutions to problems that hinder helpful people from helping others. Whether building/configuring software solutions for non-profits, or showing up on the sand as a Second Sunday facilitator, Mylah is driven to give by two beliefs: 1) every step in the name of becoming whole  - no matter how small - is meaningful and praiseworthy, and 2) the ocean is profoundly powerful medicine.

When she’s not in her wetsuit dreaming of warmer waters, Mylah spends her days playing mom, gardening, advocating for neurodiversity awareness and (day job alert!) launching systems that enable scientists to discover life-saving therapeutics.  She completed a Bachelors in Psychology at UC Berkeley and has trained in peer counseling, psychological safety, and effective learning strategies for neurodivergent individuals. She also founded ‘Not Your Basic Food Group’ a supportive space for women navigating fraught relationships with food and their bodies.
